Terminators, Terminators, Terminators!!

The project I've been looking forward to for some time is scratch building my own wolf lords and their own wolf guard retinues. Therefore I have built 3x 5 man terminator squads for 3 different lords.

There are:

  • 5 thunder hammer and storm shield
  • 4 power axe and 1 flamer/assault cannon/storm bolter
  • 4 power fist and 1 flamer/assault cannon/storm bolter
I did the bases first, very simple slate and sand stuck down with pva.

I tend to do bases first, undercoat black and drybrush different layers of grey, getting lighter on the rocks. Then use games workshop dry grass stuck in with pva.

Once the Terminators are built they were undercoaded black and the feet drilled with a 1mm drill bit and matching hole drilled in the bases. Brass rod is then super clued in the foot.

Undercoat done, ready for a basecoat of Russ grey

All 15 terminators undercoated, base coated but not stuck down yet.

Terminator strike squad and Ragnar Blackmane

Over the festive period I've been busy thinking up my own fluff for my favourite Terminator squad.
I have named them "Hunters of the Red Wolves".

The back story in short is that each member wishing to join "The Hunters" must have served as a member of the Deathwatch.
I know that the Space Wolves famously dislike the inquisition, but as a blood claw Ragnar worked on various off world missions along side inquisitors, therefore he allows certain members of his wolf guard to serve the Deathwatch for a time.

Once a member has returned to the Fang and rejoined Blackmanes pack they may be selected to serve the Red Hunt.
This involves tracking down and destroying "lost" members of the Wolf Brothers successor chapter created from the Space Wolf gene seed.

More to come, hope you like my squad and my Ragnar Conversion.
